Having accessed all the areas we can from Par Beach we are now going to focus on the Western side via Spit Beach.
In support of Cornwall Wildlife Trust's Shoresearch project to explore the shore and learn about an invasive species, the Pacific oyster. This non native has been becoming increasingly common all around Cornwall and a new project has been set up to Monitor its spread and where necessary control its numbers. Volunteers are needed and this is a chance for people to learn more and get involved.
Meet: At Friends of Par Beach beach hut opposite Milos Restaurant where we will collect our equipment and transport to Spit Beach.
Bring: Sensible rock-pooling clothing - wellies or wetsuit boots, warm clothing.
